[Xplor-nih] for installation

Try sudo ln -s /opt/xplor-nih-VERSION/bin/xplor /usr/local/bin/xplor

Also, are you sure that the directory you created is called /opt/ 
xplor-nih-VERSION, or is it
something like /opt/xplor-nih-2_10 ?
